Dirtiest Interior Ever? 2009 Honda Civic Coupe
Now I love a challenge like everyone else but when this 2009 Honda Civic came in I had no idea what I would be in for. The pictures do not do this car justice as it was the dirtiest coupe I have ever done and likely in the top 2 or 3 dirtiest cars i have ever done. Every vehicle is different but the ones that contain mostly dead skin, sweat, and other types of human grime test my abilities as a detailer the most. But without further ado lets jump into these pictures. And let me warn you... a few of them are pretty nasty. And before you ask... I had permission to create a write up on this car!

2009 Honda Civic After
This is an after picture first, the customer was mainly concerned with the inside so the outside just recieved a quick wash and spray wax with tire dressing

Back Passenger Seat before
We will begin our journey in the back seats which received a heavy scrubbing and carpet extracting using Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner and a Bissel Pro heat Extractor

Rear Seat View Before
I had to remove the large trash and vaccum out as much the loose dirt as possible before beginning the extraction with hot water

Rear Seat behind Driver before
This seat was much worse then the pictures show. That stains in this picture were very old and I had scrub and extract for quite some time to remove them.

Rear Seat Behind Driver After
After much hard work I was able to remove the stains. Except for the cigarette hole , the seats were restored to a new-like condition

Cup Holders Before
This was pretty rough. First I removed all the loose waste that I could, then I had to scrape the thick layer of syrupy substance from the bottom, then I used APC and various brushes to loosen up the remaining filth which was then vaccumed away.

Cup holders During
This is after spraying with cleaners and trying to agitate the dirt as much as possible.

Cup holders After
MUCH BETTER!!

Center Arm Rest Before
This was probably the toughest part of the car to work on. It is mildly apparent in this picture but there was probably a layer of grime 1-3 millimeters thick and to get this out I had to spray with the APC and scrub with the brushes and extractor for probably 15 minutes.

Center Arm Rest During
Ewwww...

Center Arm Rest During.
As you can imagine I went through quite a few towels...

Center Arm Rest After
The result in this case was dramatic. The arm rest is clean and the fibers are no longer stuck together from years of grime build up.

Turn Signal Stalk Before
There was a thick filth covering all the touch points in this vehicle, steering wheel, turn signal stalk, shifter, etc. They were all degreased and cleaned.

Turn Signal Stalk After
Looking much better

After scrubbing touch points
I told you it took alot of towels

Seat belt bolt before.
It wasn't long before I realized that there would be no way to get this car to an exceptional level without removing the seats. Luckily on these Civics they simply bolt the seats into the frame using a 14 mm bolts

Under Seat View
As you can see after unbolting the seats we disconnected the seat belt sensor and air bag sensor wires.

Seats out view
Getting the seats out was kind of a pain but it was worth it because it allowed us to clean the carpet much easier.

Seats out after
The carpet was extracted and brushed to an acceptable level.

Seats out
The seats were cleaned outside of the vehicle.

Seats After
Scroll up a few pictures and look at the front seats before!!!

Extractor Dirty water reservoir
I filled this thing probably 6 or 7 times.

Drivers Door Before
Notice the thick grime in the arm rest.
